She received her Electronic Engineering Degree, and her PhD in Microelectronics and Telecommunications. After her experiences (2003-2013) at Radiolabs S.r.L., Cometis S.r.L, and Costruzioni Meccaniche S.r.L. she consolidated her expertise on business plan and University-Industry technology transfer. She received the "Focus Impresa" by Bic-Lazio and "TTCN-3" by ETSI patents. She works at FUB since 2008, within the Communication Networks Department where she is Responsible of projects related to “5G for vertical sectors”. 5G: the Mobile Network of the Future
5G is designed to be an ultra-performing network able to satisfy all services of the future. The possibility to connect a lot of devices to create a “smart environment” (e.g smart home, smart car, smart factories,…) permits to natively promote the “Internet of things” paradigm. It means to develop a new concept of a network based on: different Carrier Frequencies; Active Antenna Systems; Network Slicing, Software Defined Network and Edge Computing. It poses challenges from both Telecommunication and Information Technology point of view to respond to all application sectors.
