Distributed and resilient services in real life

I’ve been working on a system migration from the evil monolith to the glorious microservices architecture for the last 4 years. And it’s still ongoing. Building distributed services come with benefits but also with issues that we need to address. Also, I learnt that releases version 1.0 is just the start of a long path. Expect the unexpected in production, bugs will happen, so your system needs to be ready to survive them. I will talk about: monitoring, service’s ownership, teams communication, async, circuit-breakers, etc. Join me on this real-life talk based on my own experience.
